Ehlers Purchases Pewaukee, WI Office Building

Commercial Real Estate Climate Provides Opportunity for Growth

BROOKFIELD, WI, January 31, 2014 - Ehlers Companies has purchased the Park Ridge Centre office building in the City of Pewaukee.  The 19,985 square foot building located at N21 W23350 Ridgeview Parkway will be home for the company's Wisconsin operations, which have occupied leased space in the Bishop's Woods office park in Brookfield for more than twenty years.  Ehlers Companies provides independent financial advisory services to over 400 hundred of local government units throughout the upper Midwest region with additional offices in Roseville, Minnesota and Lisle, Illinois.  An employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), Ehlers Companies business units include its financial advisory practice, Ehlers & Associates; investment advisory services offered through Ehlers Investment Partners; and paying agent services provided through Bond Trust Services Corporation.

Ehlers' purchase reflects the firm's continued growth in and commitment to the Wisconsin market.  Ehlers Senior Financial Advisor Michael Harrigan and Chairman of the firm's Board of Directors stated that since joining Ehlers in 1993, the number of employees based in the Wisconsin office has grown from five to nineteen.  Harrigan added, "Having outgrown our present leased space, the current climate of the commercial real estate market provided an opportunity to meet both our immediate and future space needs with a long-term investment in the property."

Todd Taves, a Senior Financial Advisor and Principal for Ehlers' Wisconsin operations expressed, "The relocation of the Wisconsin office operations from Brookfield to Pewaukee is expected to take place sometime later in 2014."  Taves also stated that he anticipates that Ehlers will initially occupy approximately half of the building, and expects to lease any remaining space to other professional services firms.
