ROSEVILLE, MN - AUGUST 6, 2014 -Ehlers, Inc., a leader in public finance, recognizes the appointment of President Steve Apfelbacher to the Municipal Securities Rulemaking (MSRB) Board of Directors.

The seven newly appointed MSRB Board members will begin their three-year term on October 1, 2014. The role of the 21-member Board is to protect issuers and investors within the public finance market. Steve will be one of four elected individuals from regulated entities, and the only one appointed this year representing municipal advisor firms.

"It is with deep appreciation and humility that I receive this appointment to the MSRB Board of Directors. I look forward to continue working with the MSRB in a different capacity."

Steve's involvement with and knowledge of the National Association of Independent Public Finance Advisors (NAIPFA) and Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) have helped put Ehlers in a sound and strong business position for Regulatory Compliance with the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act signed in July 21, 2010.
