Lead Public Finance Analyst
Silvia Johnson

Silvia joined Ehlers in 2017 working with clients and Municipal Advisors across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Silvia’s previous experience in education, customer service and business administration provided the foundation for her ability to support clients and anticipate their needs. As the team lead for our Minnesota offering documents and TIF team, she oversees the coordination of legal documentation and the analysis of data necessary to produce accurate official statements, as well as required TIF creation and amendment reports.  Drawing on 20 years as a gymnastics coach, she takes pride in her ability to communicate effectively on multiple levels with both internal and external clients, use problem-solving skills to collaborate with her team and complete projects with meticulous attention to detail.

Silvia was born in Guatemala, adopted as a child and grew up in White Bear Lake. She currently resides in Maplewood. Silvia began gymnastics at the age of 2 and played competitive soccer starting at the age of 8 in a boys league, eventually competing in a women’s semi-professional league in her teenage years. Both activities led her to become a soccer referee, embark on a 20-year career as a gymnastics coach, and cherish her current role as a USAG judge for women’s gymnastics.

In her spare time, Silvia enjoys painting and drawing, sewing, playing soccer (and cheering on Minnesota United), doing almost anything outdoors, spending time with family and eating tacos.
