Brenda has served as the Finance Director for the City of Anoka since 2017, overseeing the city’s financial operations and long-term fiscal planning.  She has spent 17 years in governmental finance between Anoka County and the City of Anoka.  She also serves as Treasurer for Bradford Township, Stanford Townships and Haven for Heros, an organization which provides recovery and transitional housing to service members and veterans.  Brenda has been working closely with city staff to launch the municipal cannabis dispensary, Anoka Cannabis Company. Brenda and her team are excited to become the first municipal dispensary in Minnesota and currently the only municipally operated cannabis dispensary in the nation helping the city to move forward innovative public finance initiatives.
