Roseville, MN, November 17, 2021 – Ehlers Companies’ Board of Directors named Senior Municipal Advisor and firm Principal Greg Crowe as its next President.  This appointment comes after current President Jeff Eaton announced his plans to retire at the end of the calendar year.

“When I joined the firm, our Board of Directors established several key goals for me to achieve,” said Eaton. “Fast forward three years and those objectives are substantially complete.  We have streamlined corporate governance, realigned our management team, refined our brand, and retooled our investment practice. This work has led to exceptional outcomes for our clients and record financial performance for the firm.  With our organization now firing on all cylinders, it’s a perfect time to pass the baton to a new leader. Greg is an excellent choice for this position.”

Crowe joined Ehlers in 2012 as a Senior Municipal Advisor and was named a firm Principal for the Education Finance Team in 2016.  Over the course of his tenure, he led his already high-performing team to achieve more than 60% client market share in this important segment.  He is widely respected as an industry thought leader and a valued member of Ehlers’ senior management team. He has also served as Ehlers’ Municipal Advisor Chief Compliance Officer and played an integral role in driving the company’s strategic plan initiatives forward. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as the primary budget analyst for education finance and the Co-Controller for the Minnesota State House of Representatives.

Crowe is excited to serve as Ehlers’ next President. “I’m grateful for our Board’s confidence in my ability to lead the company and appreciative of Jeff’s mentorship in preparing me to step into this new role,” he said. “My key goals are to maintain our strategic direction, build upon the momentum we’ve generated over the last few years, and position the firm for strong growth.  Ehlers has a very bright future and I look forward to helping shape it.”

Ehlers’ Board of Directors unanimously approved the resolution to name Crowe as firm President. “Greg is a strong leader who champions our business philosophy and embodies our client-focused and team-oriented culture,” said Board Chair Jessica Cook. ” He has in-depth knowledge of our core business units, a keen understanding of our public sector markets, and knows how to leverage our integrated service platform to maximize the value we bring to client relationships.”

In conjunction with this appointment, Ehlers’ Board also announced two executive promotions.  Chief Financial officer Sam Mahn has been named Chief Operating Officer and Senior Municipal Advisor Shelby McQuay has been selected to succeed Crowe as the firm Principal for its Education Finance Team.
