Ehlers’ Senior Disclosure Coordinator Emily Wilkie was named to the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Chapter of Women in Public Finance.

Women in Public Finance – Minnesota Chapter, part of a national networking organization for women in the public finance, believes Emily’s participation on the local board will help propagate its mission of advancing women’s leadership opportunities in the field through relationship building and educational activities across the region. “In selecting Emily, we noted her active participation in so many chapter events,” said President Katherine Kardell. “She was instrumental in helping Ehlers become a sponsor of our Minnesota chapter as well as a founding sponsor of our new Wisconsin chapter. This is important work because sponsorship dollars are primarily used to fund scholarships for young women interested in pursuing a career in public finance.”

Wilkie looks forward to bringing a strong foundation and fresh ideas to the organization’s outreach. “I’ve been active in Public Finance for 14 years and am passionate about building relationships with other women in our field so we can create new opportunities for growth,” she stated. “Great things can happen when we band together.”

Wilkie will be seated later this month and will serve a three-year term ending September 30, 2022.
