Nick is a Senior Municipal Advisor with our Minnesota Municipal Finance team where he works to design, negotiate and communicate innovative solutions to meet his clients’ capital and development financing needs. Nick has a thorough understanding of rating agencies’ credit analysis methodologies, which helps him identify future fiscal risks for clients and guide them through the rating process. Prior to joining Ehlers, he amassed strong local government experience working for Carver County, Minnesota. Nick also served seven years as an Active Duty Aviation Officer in the U.S. Army.
Nick is a Minneapolis resident with a family of four. He enjoys spending free time traveling with family, mountaineering and catching just about any sporting event in town.

Carver County, Minnesota (2014 Highway 101 river crossing & multiple reconstruction projects) – developed and executed plan of finance for over $28 million in county road and bridge improvements using a combination of state loan programs and publicly offered bonds
Nolan Mains Project, Edina (50th & France Redevelopment) – Completed pro forma analysis, negotiated sale price of land and redevelopment agreement for public assistance and assisted in TIF District creation for $74 million mixed-use private redevelopment and $11 million public parking ramp expansion projects
Capitol Region Watershed District (New Headquarters) – advised on the development of a finance plan and execution of a $10 million bond issue to redevelop property in the Midway neighborhood of St. Paul for a new district office facility
