Ehlers is privileged to share in your mission of building vibrant, sustainable and equitable communities across our great state. Yet fulfilling that mission isn’t just about public finance solutions – these are only the fundamentals of our work. It’s about people pulling together to create smart plans, build community consensus and share in the hard work that helps bring generational projects to life. That’s why we’re honored to invite you to our annual Minnesota Public Finance Seminar. This year, we’re again offering three optional pre-conference workshops covering the basics of municipal finance – ideal for new staff or a refresher for all. Beginning Thursday afternoon, two learning tracks will bring municipal finance, TIF, and development concepts to life with actual stories and case studies from communities across Minnesota. Plus, Nathan Jesson and his colleagues from the League of Minnesota Cities will join us to provide the latest updates from the Minnesota State Legislature. And finally, Ron Wirtz, Regional Outreach Director with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, will host an interactive general session where he’ll discuss state business conditions, the economic challenges we’re facing, and the special role our labor force plays in driving long-term growth.
