Truth in Taxation for Minnesota School Districts
New legislation for Minnesota in 2011 eliminated the Homestead Market Value Credit that the state paid to reduce qualifying homeowner’s taxes and replaced it with the Homestead Market Value Exclusion. This change will cause increases in taxes for virtually all taxpayers, although the extent of the impact will vary widely from district to district.

Start Your Planning for Illinois Public Library Construction Grants
Grants are available from the State of Illinois to assist eligible Illinois public libraries with construction costs in their facilities. The deadline to submit Illinois Public Library Construction Grants is April 16, 2012.
